A new Adidas design was launched in the 87/88 season, ditching all traces of red from the shirt but including fine detailing of the badge throughout the material. For the opening games the club were still without a sponsor.
Then along came two, KLM Airlines and the Dutch National Tourist Board.
No change away from home.
Match-worn shirt sold for £412 on ebay in 2020. Identical shirt in every way to the one shown in 84/85, except for the sponsor.
Wonderful un-sponsored home shirts.
